Hello,

When I run a backup with compression on (both encrypted and not) the backup fails, none of the files get backed up. The report is full of:

Unable to copy E:\<pathe to file> to I:\!Backup\Test\2011.11.16 030215.NewSweep_11162011024411\af2ba63869d5d25d21a082f0cbbe6699914f752a\package\__history\VikBizkit_BDS8.dpk.~15~.zip Reason : The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\LS_Staging\40863.6265794097456652416' because it is being used by another process.
I've restarted the program and Windows, makes no difference.
When I disable compression, then it works like a file sync, which I assume is correct. However I want compressed backups. What am I doing wrong.
System: LojiklSweep 2.12.10.0 x64 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with Admin rights
Thanks.

Hi,

We actually noticed this issue just recently ourselves and are working on a solution.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and a fix will be available very soon.

Cheers.

Thank you for the quick fix. It works great now.

One question: is there any way to compress the backup into a single zip archive instead of each file in its own archive? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Hi,

Currently there is no way to do that. We are actually debating if our current way of backing up too flexible and hence leading to overly complex code and configuration. We are considering Always making a zipped archive of the backup files and thus simplifying a number of things.

I wonder what everyone thinks? Maximum flexibility or maximum ease of use?

Lookout for news on this in the future.
